In 1921 Ferguslie Hockey Club was formed by employees from J&P Coats’ Mill at Ferguslie, Paisley. The Club colours were yellow shirts with black collars and cuffs, yellow socks with black top and black shorts.
The Club played on grass pitches at Ferguslie Cricket Club and Millerston,
Paisley and ran two teams playing in the South West District Leagues.

| The original members that transferred from Ferguslie to Kelburne included:- Ronnie Forsyth (President), Duncan Adams (1st XI Captain), John Benvie, Barry Carmichael, Ronnie Currie, Sandy Fleming, Alex Millar, Ken McLauglan, Malcolm Cawley, Murray McDonald, Jack Ralph, Alastair Russell, Andy Simpson, Gerry Toner & Matt Wylie. A number of whom are still with the Club today!
